This study examines the impact of maternal education on children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development in District Mardan, focusing on the socioeconomic diversity of the region. The research aims to understand how the educational attainment of mothers creates different socio-cultural environments at home, influenced by socioeconomic factors. By comparing the social development of children raised by educated and uneducated mothers, the study aims to understand the distinct approaches, methods, and challenges faced by mothers in attempting to socialize their children. The study also seeks to identify possible connections between maternal education and children’s developmental outcomes, providing information to support programs and policies that support fair and fulfilling developmental pathways for children from diverse backgrounds. This study used structured questionnaire, a sample of ninety mothers, forty-five of whom are educated and forty-five of whom are not, who were chosen by random sampling, using a quantitative research design. This method makes it possible to investigate in-depth the ways that various educational backgrounds affect socialization techniques and results. The results should significantly advance the field of sociology by illuminating the ways in which maternal education influences the social structures that the Mardan community’s future generations will inherit. The ultimate goal of this research is to provide information for the creation of focused interventions and regulations that promote various parenting philosophies and educational setting. The result of this study would help to understand factors affecting child socialization hence providing our best bet towards providing equitable opportunities for all children in District Mardan.
