The Role of Transformational Leadership in the Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Educational Institutions

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational institutions has become a transformative force influencing teaching, learning, and administrative processes. However, successful AI implementation largely depends on effective leadership. This quantitative study examines the relationship between transformational leadership practices and the degree of AI implementation in educational institutions. Using a cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 200 educators and administrators across universities and secondary schools implementing AI technologies. Statistical analyses, including Pearson correlation and regression analysis, revealed a significant positive relationship between transformational leadership and the success of AI integration (r = .68, p < .01). Findings suggest that leaders who demonstrate vision, inspiration, and individualized support foster greater organizational readiness and staff engagement in AI-driven innovation. The study recommends that leadership development programs in education emphasize transformational leadership competencies to enhance technological adaptation.
