Peace and Harmony in the Punjab; A case of Muslims, Christians, and Sikh

This study has been designed to examine the role of ethical values, religious values, previous education, and advocacy factors in developing peace and harmony among individuals with different beliefs. This study used a quantitative design and three districts of the Punjab Province, including Lahore, Faisalabad, and Nankana Sahib, constitute the population of the study. A sample of 507 respondents have been selected using convenient sampling technique. A cross sectional survey has been conducted and structured questionnaire has been used as a tool for data collection. A pilot testing has been done and value of Alpha has been found above .700. The study findings asserted that educational institution and family as a social institution have been playing their role to develop positive personality among different individuals having different believers through the process of socialization. Similarly, media practices have also been cultivating the message of peace and harmony among individuals. Hence, the study overall conclude that peace and harmony have not been maintained by single factor but it has been linked with multiple factors as mention above.
