COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF LIFE SATISFACTION BETWEEN MADARIS AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN FAISALABAD WITH EMPHASIS ON GENDER VARIATIONS

This study investigates life satisfaction among students enrolled in Madaris and universities in Faisalabad, Pakistan, with a focus on gender differences. Using a sample of 160 students evenly divided by educational setting and gender, the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) was employed to assess subjective well-being. Results revealed significantly higher life satisfaction among Madaris students compared to university students, and female students reported greater life satisfaction than males. The findings highlight the influence of educational environment and gender on psychological well-being. Recommendations include expanding future research to larger and more diverse samples, integrating academic curricula in Madaris, and developing gender-sensitive mental health interventions. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers and educators to support student well-being in varying educational contexts.
